Ontario:
Ontario held its Express Entry draw on August 16th 2022, by inviting 30 candidates from the Entrepreneur stream. It is to be noted that this draw is said to be the first since 2021 for this particular stream. These candidates were invited through the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) with a score of 138 to 160. Similar to other programs, the candidates can apply for the OINP through Expression Of Interest (EOI), and if invited for ITA, they must attend the interview for PR.
In case of selection, they would be offered a work permit(temporary) and will be asked to move to Canada. So, once the individual completes 20 months in the country and progresses in the business plan, they are asked to final submission. They will be asked for essential paperwork for PR if they meet the business requirements.
British Columbia:
Around 223 candidates were invited through British Columbia’s Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) on August 16th 2022. 177 candidates were invited from the Skilled Worker and International Graduates categories, with the SIRS score ranging from 78 to 132. This category includes the candidates of Express Entry from Entry level, Semi-Skilled, and Skilled workers. The SIRS is similar to the Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS), which only applies to British Columbia.
The remaining 46 invitations were from different categories, which include National Classification Code (NOC 4214), healthcare workers and assistants.
