Recently, the Canadian government has launched an initiative that is known as ‘an immigration system for Canada’s future’. The initiative offers Canadians and other investors the chance to share their ideas and viewpoints that will help inform a vision for how the immigration system can strengthen societies across the nation. The initiative will also contain an analysis of current plans and programs.
As another key part of this imitative is to engage Canadians, the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) minister announced on 27th March 2023 the launch of a public survey to collect opinions from anyone with an immigration interest. He also mentioned that this survey will run for a month from 27th March 2023 to 27th April 2023, and it will be available online.
To support the Canadian economy, and strengthen societies, it is important to have immigration plans and programs that are up-to-date, open to change, and associated with Canada’s social, financial, and cultural requirements. To do so, IRCC will be working with people across the nation to team up on a vision for the future of Canada’s immigration system, until April 2023.
The initiative commenced in February with an in-person discussion conference in Halifax, which was led by Canadian Immigration Minister Sean Fraser.
The IRCC press release contained information that the initiative is anticipated to involve more in-person discussion sessions.
Since 27 March 2023, IRCC made this survey available to the public. The survey calls on individuals to share their opinions about guiding the future of Canadian immigration. Furthermore, people can take this survey online, and it will take around 15 minutes to complete it.
