On July 21, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) conducted a new Expression of Interest (EOI) and invited 802 immigrants. The province’s Occupation in Demand and Express Entry programs, which target 18 National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes, invited 797 applicants. In direct response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Saskatchewan also invited 5 applicants from Ukraine.
797 invitations were issued by Express Entry for specific NOC codes, with a minimum score of 68. Not all occupations were selected.

What is the process for expressing interest in Saskatchewan?
– Submit EOI profile.
– Inclusion in the EOI applicant pool.
– EOI applicants are selected.
– Invitations to apply are issued through periodic draws.
– Within 60 days, applicants must submit a complete application.
– SINP officials evaluate applications and make a decision.
What are the requirements for the “high need occupations” subcategory?
– Achieve a minimum of 60 points on the SINP assessment grid;
– Achieve a language proficiency level of at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4. Employers and government agencies may have higher requirements;
– possess one year of post-secondary training, education, or experience equivalent to the Canadian educational system. You must possess a degree, diploma, or other credentials.
– Verification of educational credentials is required for degrees and diplomas earned outside of Canada;
– At least one year of employment within the previous ten years:
– In your field of education or training; and
– In a permitted occupation in NOC A, B, 0. See the list of excluded occupations.
– Obtain the appropriate license in Saskatchewan if your specialty requires it, as authorities will not process an application without the license.
– Obtain proof of settlement amount and a settlement plan.
– Pay a $300 non-refundable application fee online.
What are the requirements for the Saskatchewan Express Entry subcategory?
Applicants from outside Canada or with legal status in Canada qualify for this immigration category in Saskatchewan unless they are eligible for refugee status. In addition, applicants must:
– Have an Express Entry Pool profile with a job seeker validation code and a profile number;
– Have a SINP evaluation score of at least 60;
– Provide valid language test scores from a designated testing agency that match those in the Express Entry profile;
– possess a year’s worth of post-secondary training or education that is on par with the curriculum in Canada. A degree, diploma, or other credentials must have been earned.
– Degrees and diplomas earned outside of Canada are subject to verification of educational credentials;
– You must meet at least one of the following work experience requirements in your education or training occupation:
– One year of work experience in the last 10 years in a skilled (non-manual) occupation;
– Two years of work experience in a skilled occupation in the last five years; or
– One year of work experience in Canada in the last three years (skilled and non-skilled).
– Work experience in a highly-skilled, eligible occupation at NOC A, B, 0. See the list of excluded occupations.
– You must have obtained the appropriate license in Saskatchewan where your occupation is regulated or for a qualifying occupation. For skilled trades, a certificate from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission is required.
– You must provide proof of the amount of severance pay and a severance plan.
– Pay a $300 non-refundable application fee online.
