Prince Edward Island (PEI) is one of the most serene provinces in Canada, which is covered by red sand beaches, farmlands, and lighthouses. On August 18th 2022, PEI invited 121 candidates through the Labour and Business Impact streams. It was also seen that around 117 candidates were invited through the Labour impact and 4 candidates from the Business impact categories. The minimum score required for the candidates invited through the Business impact stream was 97 points. However, the candidates invited through the labor impact category do not need such a score.
Express Entry Stream For Prince Edward Island:
The PEI Express Entry stream considers the candidates existing in the federal Express Entry for its draw and awards 600 points which is added to the Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS). The PEI Express Entry stream includes two pathways, namely, Labour and Business Impact category.
PEI Labour Impact Pathway:
The Labour Impact pathway is classified as,
Skilled Worker Stream:
This stream is an employer-driven category and offers skilled candidates a suitable job offer within the PEI for permanent residence in Canada. The eligible criteria for this stream are
- Full-time employment under the National Occupational Classification (NOC)
- Age: 21-55 years
- Should have completed two years of full-time employment
- Should be proficient in French and English
- Enough funds for settlement
- Should have professed Expression of Interest (EOI) for PEI
Critical Worker Stream:
It is a stream mainly designed for PEI’s labour needs, where foreign workers are also invited. The eligible criteria for this stream are
- Full-time employment from PEI business management
- Should have completed two years of full-time employment
- Six months of experience in PEI
- Should be proficient in French and English
- Age: 21-55 yrs
- Should have professed Expression of Interest (EOI) for PEI
- Enough funds for settlement
PEI Business Impact Pathway:
PEI Work Permit Stream:
Candidates applying for this stream will obtain a work permit and work as per the Performance Agreement for a short period. Once the individual completes the agreement, they should start a business with a minimum investment of $150,000 and manage the same.
