Prince Edward Island province held a new Express Entry draw on 2nd March 2023 and issued 46 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to applicants, Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) Labour Stream draw.
This draw was conducted to attract more workers to the Prince Edward Island province came less than a month after all four Atlantic Canadian province’s premiers met to discuss, among other problems, ways to boost immigration to the territory. Prince Edward Island and the rest of Atlantic Canada have strong immigration.
“Labour shortages are being felt countrywide by communities and economies,” the premiers noted in a report.
“Immigration and the international student retention who come to Atlantic Canada to further their education are critical to the territory’s constant growth. Atlantic Canada is a major destination for those looking to change to or within Canada and has established itself to be a perfect pilot new immigration program location. Provincial-federal cooperation will be significant to finding solutions to the Canadian industries’ labor challenges”.
