Ontario held a new provincial draw on March 31, 2023, and issued 13 ITA (Invitations to Apply) under the entrepreneur stream.
Candidates who score EOI (Expression of Interest) on 27th March 2023 qualify for this round of consideration. Moreover, applicants who scored between 139 and 159 received ITA (Invitations to Apply).
Candidates who obtained their invitations for expression of interest are not required to contact the program. For applying, you will receive two emails containing instructions and details about login.
If you got a notice that your EOI was qualified to get an invitation to apply but did not receive an invitation to apply in this round, the EOI score will be below 139. An EOI remains qualified to obtain an invitation to apply for 1 year from the OINP profile submission date.
What Is Entrepreneur Stream?
The Entrepreneur Stream is a migration stream under OINP (the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program). Under the Ontario Immigration Act, 2015, and its guidelines, this stream is established. You have to follow the procedure and meet the standards established under the regulations for your application to be approved.
This stream is specially created for entrepreneurs from outside Canada interested in opening a new business or purchasing a current business in Ontario.
It gives an entrepreneur (and up to one overseas national business partner) the opportunity to be selected for Canadian PR (Permanent Residence) once their business has been launched in Ontario.
