Recently, Manitoba conducted its #171 expression of interest draw on 9th March 2023. As well, it sent out 597 Letters Of Advice To Apply (LLA) for immigration to candidates in a draw through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). This draw saw the LLAs issued via three MPNP streams.
Manitoba also invited 224 applicants with the lowest score of 612 under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) who are eyeing sales and service support occupations characterized under main group 65 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SMW).
501 Letters Of Advice Issued To The Skilled Worker In Manitoba Stream
Manitoba issued another 277 LLAs via the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream outside of the occupational code, to the applicants whose Express Entry profiles score a minimum of 675 through the CRS.
International Education Stream (IES) applicants received 53 LAAs.
The remaining 43 LAAs went to Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO) applicants through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, with the least score of 666.

Manitoba specified that 45 of the 597 aspirants invited had legal Express Entry profile numbers and job seeker validation codes.
The SWM is based on the Manitoba employers’ specific requirements and tries to choose foreign-trained employees with the mandatory skills for permanent residence. Moreover, the stream prioritizes applicants with a strong link to Manitoba, with two ways to Manitoba immigration.
The Manitoba Work Experience Pathway is for candidates now working in Manitoba on temporary work permits, via the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP), or as international graduates from any Canadian province. Applicants do not need to be working in in-demand jobs.
The Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway is for candidates from abroad with job offers from permitted Manitoba companies.
