Here is a good opportunity to increase your score to get PR in Canada. Want to know how? This blog is intended to answer this question.
Let’s begin with the PNP program, i.e. Provincial Nominee Program, this lets Canadian provinces & territories to nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada & who are interested in settling in a particular province of Canada.
Between January and September 2018, 62,500 candidates were invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence, of this, 12 % had a provincial nomination.
During the same period in last year, the invitations to apply issued to Express Entry Candidates nominated by a Canadian province stood at just over 9% of all invitations issued.
Canada’s PNP works to spread the benefits of immigration evenly across the country. This is achieved by letting the participating provinces & territories to nominate a set number of economic immigration candidates for permanent residence each year.
Every province & territory with an immigrant nominee program now has a minimum of one immigration stream that is linked to the federal Express Entry system, this manages the pool of candidates for Canada’s three major federal economic immigration programs — the Canadian Experience Class the Federal Skilled Worker Class and Federal Skilled Trades Class.
The rise in ITAs issued to provincial nominees reflects the growing significance of the PNP to the federal government’s immigration strategy.
Canada’s new multi-year immigration levels idea has admissions through the PNP set to rise by 6,000 next year, to 61,000.
By the year 2021, these admissions are expected to reach 71,300, which is an increase of nearly 30% over 2018’s target of 55,000.
On the basis of the 2018 report to parliament, IRCC noticed that the PNP has grown exponentially since its implementation in the year 1996 from 233 admissions in 1996 to 49,724 in 2017.
The Express Entry is on the verge of breaking ITA record with latest draw#106
Are you aware of the result of the latest Express Entry Draw that took place on December 12, 2018?
The Canadian Government moved one more step closer to surpassing the record for invitations issued in a single year through the Express Entry economic immigration system with a new draw held on Wednesday.
The minimum score in the latest draw was 445; this is the same as the previous draw that was held on November 28, 2018, and the total ITAs issued was 3,900. This puts the total no. issued so far in this year at 85,900.
This rising number of candidates in the Express Entry pool with a provincial nomination and the 600 points that go with it may be partly responsible for the increase that we’ve seen in Express Entry minimum scores in 2018, which haven’t gone below 440.
If this trend continues, obtaining a provincial nomination may now be one of the best bets for receiving an ITA for Express Entry candidates with scores below 440.
