According to the recent IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) report, India takes first place in the top 10 most significant international student sources in Canada. Last year, India’s importance as a source of international students grew once again, by 33.6%, as 226,450 Indian students received study permits to come to Canadian colleges and universities, up from 169,460 the prior year.

In the third place on the list, the Philippines sent 25,380 students to Canada in 2022, a spike of nearly 76.7% over the 14,365 Filipino study permit holders in Canada the prior year.
These three countries together provided 303,995 global students to Canada’s post-secondary institutions the previous year, well over half of the total number of study permit holders, 55.1%, in the country.
