In a new provincial draw, to apply for skilled worker and entrepreneur Canada immigration applicants Prince Edward Island has issued 204 invitations.
Also, the recent draw was held on October 20 draw saw invitations issued through the Express Entry, Labour Impact, and Business Impact Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) streams. It saw 194 invites issued to Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates, while Business Impact candidates received 10 invitations. In addition, the Business Impact candidates needed a minimum score of 72 points.

2) Critical Worker Stream
To resolve labor shortages, the critical worker stream is designed and is open to overseas workers previously in PEI with employment in particularly critical-demand professions. The key criteria for nomination are:
- A full-time employment offer from a Prince Edward Island occupation in one of the following jobs:
- Truck driver;
- Customer service representative;
- Laborer;
- Food & beverage server;
- Housekeeping attendant.
- Work experience of 6 months with the Prince Edward Island business offering employment;
- Current valid Canadian work permit;
- High school qualification and least of 12 years of proper education;
- Age should be between 21- and 55-years years old;

PEI Business Impact Category
Work Permit Stream
For a certain amount of time as chosen in a Performance Agreement, people who apply under the P.E.I. Work Permit Stream should receive a Canadian work permit and work for a P.E.I. business
Once the Performance Agreement is fulfilled, the candidate must make a least $150,000 investment in the business and be obligated to supervise the business daily from within P.E.I.
