Alberta conducted a new AAIP (Alberta Advantage Immigration Program) express entry draw and issued 134 Notifications of Interest to the immigration candidates. This express entry draw was conducted on 9th March 2023.
In this new draw, applicants required a lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 301. Since 26th October 2021, it is the least CRS score under an Alberta Express Entry draw, nearly a year and a half ago.
Alberta Premier Is Strong On Province’s Immigration
In the previous year, IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) sets the AAIP nomination limit at 9,750 for the year.
But Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is expecting to significantly increase immigration to her province and needs the number of nominations permitted to Alberta to increase by nearly 67 percent by the end of 2025.
“Alberta is still calling,” premier Danielle Smith posted on her LinkedIn page.
“Currently, there are over 100,000 job openings to fill in Alberta. We want more skilled workers to keep our economy firing on all cylinders!”
Under the stream, overseas nationals must have stated an interest in immigrating permanently to Alberta, working in a profession that supports Alberta’s economic growth and change, and having family ties to the province.
