The Government of British Columbia’s Immigration Programs Branch managing The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is a financial immigration program. The program allows the province to choose and elect overseas workers, entrepreneurs and international students to help meet British Columbia’s labour market requirements, support the government’s main concerns, and help the growth of British Columbia’s economy. If you are nominated, you and your family can apply to IRCC to become Canadian permanent residents.
The mainstream programs contained within British Columbia Skills Immigration need a candidate to have a work offer from a British Columbia company. Especially, the job offer does not need a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to be considered applicable under British Columbia Skills Immigration. If permitted for a provincial nomination through a Skills Immigration stream, British Columbia will offer candidates an employment authorization support letter, and support them in receiving approval to work at the same time as their immigration application is in processing.
Candidates for British Columbia Skills Immigration should register through BC PNP Online, the website controlling the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). This online system manages the intake, ranking, and applications for British Columbia PNP applications.
