About The British Columbia PNP
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program is shortly known as BC PNP. This program is created to grab the attention of overseas skilful workers that are in high requirements in the province – who want become permanent residents of Canada.
If you plan on applying under the SIRS, then first you will be needed to register an account. Once this is done, depending on human capital, skills transferability, and additional factors, you will be assigned a certain score. Such factors generally include Age, Education, Work Experience, Adaptability, Language Proficiency, and so on.
Through a British Columbia draw, the top-scoring candidates in each of the sub-categories are then invited to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residency.
If you deal with securing a provincial nomination from British Columbia, then you will now have 30 days from the invitation date to submit a full application through the British Columbia PNP online portal.
Once the province audits your application, you will be notified of its decision. Typically, this process would take anywhere between 2 and 3 months. You will be eligible to apply to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizens – if it is approved.
This nomination is applicable for 6 months from the confirmation date.
Securing a provincial nomination also helps improve your CRS, as becoming a provincial candidate you have rewarded additional 600 points in the CRS points calculator that assures an ITA for Canadian permanent residency.
