Recently, British Columbia conducted its first draws on 28th November 2022, since a complete British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) overhaul, issuing a minimum of 328 invitations to apply.
The changes saw the scoring system overhaul for British Columbia’s Skills Immigration class. The November 28 draws were divided into two classes: general and targeted.
As well, in the general draw, 253 invitations were issued through five BC PNP streams for skilled workers and international graduates that included tech professions. Least scores ranged from 82 to 105 points.
In the targeted draw, an additional 49 invitations were issued to skilled workers and international graduates scoring a minimum of 60 points in a draw targeting Early Childhood Educators and Assistants under TEER code 42202.
A draw aimed at Healthcare workers saw 24 invitations issued to skilled workers, international graduates, and entry-level and semi-skilled workers, also with the lowest score of 60 points.
An extra set of ‘less than 5’ invitations went to entry-level, and semi-skilled workers aimed precisely at Healthcare Assistants under NOC 33102, with the least score of 60. The number of invitations was listed as ‘less than 5’ to protect the identity of the invited candidates.
The last set of ‘less than 5’ targeted invitations went to skilled workers and international graduates under TEER 31103 and 32104 for veterinarians, animal health technicians, and veterinary technicians individually, with the lowest score of 60.
