Update from Canada: Aram Visas, a team of expert immigration consultants in Bangalore brings you this latest regulation passed by the Canadian Government. Anyone following the news on Canada Immigration would be familiar with the fact that the country is steadily opening its borders for travelers. Now, the Government will allow air and rail travel only for fully vaccinated travelers.
This rule will come into effect on the 30th of October. Any person who is 12 years and above coming to Canada in any one of the federally-regulation transportation should have completed both doses of Vaccine. It will include domestic and international flights, rail, and cruise ships that take more than 24 hours for a trip.
If any passenger is in the process of vaccination, they will have a thirty days transition period. Even if a traveler is not vaccinated, a COVID-19 molecular test taken 72 hours prior to departure is required. However, everyone must need to comply with this regulation by November 30. There may be exceptions for emergency travel or for people who are not able to get the vaccine because of any valid medical reasons.
Apart from the travelers, all the employees of the federal-run rail, air, and marine transports should also conform to this regulation before October 30th. The department for transport in Canada will implement these measures through inspections and any employees found to be defying the law might be fined an amount of $5,000 to a maximum of $250,000.
