Two new Expression of Interest draws were conducted by Ontario on 25th October 2022. It issued 641 Canada immigration invitations through the OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) Master Graduate, Ph. D graduate streams.
Also, the Master’s Graduate draw issued 535 invitations to the candidates with a minimum score of 35 or above. As well, in the Ph.D. Graduate draw, 106 invitations were issued to the claimants with the lowest score of a minimum of 24. Ontario Expression of Interest Ranking System
Expression of Interest Ranking System Points are granted based on the below characteristics:
- Level and field of education and where they accomplished their studies.
- English or French proficiency.
- Aim to settle outside of the Greater Toronto region.
- Skill and work experience level, wages history, and other prospects relevant aspects in the Ontario job market.
- Labour market requirements in the province or region of the province.
Masters Graduate Stream
The Masters’s Graduate stream offers a chance to international students to get permanent residence who obtained a master’s degree in Ontario without needing a job offer.
To be qualified to apply, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Graduated from a Master’s degree program from a qualified Ontario institution, that was a minimum one-year full-time.
- Got the lowest language CLB/NCLC level 7 or above in English or French.
- Resided officially in Ontario for a minimum of one year in the last two.
- Have adequate settlement funds.
- Aim to live and work in Ontario.
- Should have legal status in Ontario or overseas (Applications from somewhere in Canada will not be accepted).
- The application should be submitted within two years of finishing the necessities to graduate with the master’s degree.
Ph.D. Graduates Stream
The Ph.D. Graduates Stream provides an opportunity for international students to become PR for those who have an Ontario Ph.D. degree without needing a job offer.
A candidate must meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply:
- Graduated from a Ph.D. degree program in a qualified Ontario institution, and have completed a minimum of two years full-time.
- Resided officially in Ontario for a minimum of one year in the last two.
- Have enough settlement funds.
- Plan to live and work in Ontario.
- The application should be submitted within two years of finishing the necessities to graduate with the Ph.D. degree.
